Disney Vacations FAQ

I get SO MANY QUESTIONS about Disney vacations on a day to day basis that I wanted to have all of the really popular questions here in one spot!

About my services

How much do your services cost?
Nothing. $0. There's no catch, no fine print, nothing. Because I work with Disney to make all of your vacation plans, I am able to offer the full range of my services at zero cost to you. That, my friends, is Disney magic.

What services do you offer?
I offer a ton of really awesome services - from helping you choose the right type of vacation for your family, to complete itinerary planning, booking your dining reservations, choosing and booking your FastPass+ selections, help in setting up special celebrations for honeymoons, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.... the list could go on and on! Think of me as your Fairy Godmother in your Disney planning experience!

How do I book a trip with you?
First - shoot me an email! From there, I'll ask you a few questions to get a feel on what kind of vacation you'd like to have and I'll send you some different options to look at and choose from! We won't book your trip until you are 100% happy with the resort, tickets and dining plan that you've picked! You can contact me at haley@travelwiththemagic.com

What is your availability before and during my vacation?
Prior to your vacation, I keep regular office hours of 9 am - 6 pm, Monday through Friday. I do my best to answer emails promptly, including during evening hours and on weekends, but sometimes emails do have to wait until Monday! While you're on vacation, I am available 24/7. I keep my phone on me at all times with the volume turned all the way up so I don't miss your texts or calls!

What if a discount is released after I've booked?
I monitor for discounts daily so I can get you the best deal possible! Even if you've already booked your trip, discounts can still be applied to your vacation. Keep in mind, nothing is guaranteed, but I will always do my best to get you the best price possible!

How do I pay for my trip?
For Magic Your Way packages, Disney asks for a deposit of at least $200. After that, your final payment isn't due until 30 days prior to check in. In the mean time, you are able to make payments of $20+ as often as you'd like! I've had clients who just email me when they want to make a payment, and I've also had clients who worked out payment plans with me and I called in their specific payment amount on a certain day each week or month! It's really up to you how you choose to pay off your vacation!

What if I'm planning a trip but staying off-site, can I still use your services?
I do offer select services to clients who did not book with me for a fee. Contact me for more info on this and what services are included!

What kind of Disney vacations do you book?
I book anything Disney-related. This includes Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Aulani and Adventures by Disney.

About Disney

When's the best time to book?
I typically suggest booking at least 7 months in advance. Advanced Dining Reservations open to guests 180 days (six months!) prior to check-in, so if you want to have first pick of restaurants, booking 7-9 months in advance is the best bet!

When's the best time to go?
Anytime! However, my absolute favorite time to go is September - November because of all the events happening in the Disney parks during this season!

When's the worst time to go?
You're asking the wrong person. There is no bad time, in my opinion! I don't normally recommend going during high traffic seasons such as during summer vacation, holiday breaks, etc. however, I do know that for some, it's the only time you can go! No matter how busy the parks are, I will make sure you are prepared for any crowd level so you can make the most out of your days in the parks!!

Do I really need to stay on property?
Yes, you do! There's so many benefits to staying at a Disney resort. I won't list them all, but a few of the really awesome benefits include Extra Magic Hours, Disney's internal transportation system, Magic Bands, early access to reservations and FastPass+, I could go on and on!

What's FastPass+? Is it included in my package?
FastPass+ is Disney's way to get you ahead of the line! If staying at a Disney resort, you can reserve up to 3 FastPass+ selections per day for attractions in one park of your choice. The FastPass gives you a 60-minute window of time to arrive at the attraction and get in line with a very minimal wait! This is great for those really popular attractions that always have wait times of over 45 minutes!
YES, it is included! Some parks make you pay extra to get in front of lines... Disney doesn't!

Do I need a Dining Plan?
Not always, but sometimes it does come in handy! The dining plans allow you to essentially pre-pay for your food, and can save you a bit of money in the long run! With multiple dining plan options to choose from, I will explain all the differences so you know if it'll be useful for your vacation, and which one is best for your family!

About me

How often do you go?
I've been to Walt Disney World 10 times, 8 of those in the past 3 years! I try to go at least twice a year. Since I'm now a Disney World Annual Passholder, I have 4 trips scheduled for myself in 2017!

Why do you keep going to Disney World?
I'm a kid at heart & probably always will be! But really, there is a sense of magic in the air at Disney - it's a clean, safe environment for families, and the food is top-notch!

What are your must-do's?
There's way too many to share in this little space, but a few absolute favorites include Soarin' (Epcot), Peter Pan's Flight (Magic Kingdom) and Tower of Terror (Hollywood Studios)!

Do you have any favorite restaurants?
YES. Disney dining is kind of my favorite thing to talk about! A few musts - California Grill, Be Our Guest, Afternoon Tea at the Garden View Tea Room, Rose & Crown Pub and Dining Room.

What special events have you attended at Disney World?
I've done two RunDisney races (with the third coming in 2017!), I've attended Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party 3 times and Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party once. I've also gotten to experience Epcot's Food and Wine Festival three times and it's gotten better each year!
